  • Sandy Cove is a lovely vintage cottage on the sandy shore of Big Glen Lake’s North End! It will accommodate 6 guests. Renovated to maintain the lakeside cottage feel, this 3 bedroom and 2 bath charming cottage is complete with traditional stone fireplace, full kitchen, dining room, large sun porch, beach-side decking and a dock extending over the Caribbean-like clear water.

    Reservations for 2024 will be accepted starting December 2023.

    Making Reservations:

    When you are ready to make a reservation send me your contact information: name, address, phone number; and the email address you would like the contract sent to.
    Please include the number of guests and the number of vehicles expected.

    Your reservations are secured when I receive the signed contract with a check for the 25% deposit. The balance of 75% will be due 30 days prior to your arrival along with a check for the refundable $500.00 damage deposit.

    ***NO Reservations are assumed until you have received Direct Confirmation from the Property Manager. Reservations are not Secured until the property manager has received the signed contract and required deposit.***

     

    • Cancellation Policy:
      Cancellations will be accepted up to 45days prior to your arrival for a 100% refund.
      If the cancellation is within 14- 45days there will be a 50% refund.  If we are able to fill the time you may be given a 90% refund. There will be no refund for cancellations within 14 days.

    Another exceptional stay

    It's always hard to leave Sandy Cove when our stay is over. Great location, Great accommodations, Beautiful lake and Beach.

    This year the weather was exceptional.

    Perfect getaway!

    Sandy Cove was the perfect place to spend an extended girls' weekend! There were 12 of us and we had more than enough room. The extra sleeping cottage was close and convenient. The houses were so clean and came with everything we needed. The location on the beach made us feel like we had our own private lake. Very clean and sandy beach, shallow walk in, and nice dock. Great for all! Sandy Cove was such a short drive to the town of Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, kayaking the Platte River, and Lake Michigan beaches...absolutely perfect. Don't look elsewhere; this is the perfect place and Laura is so great to work with. Easy communication and extremely friendly. We will be back!

    Large extended family vacation

    Sandy Cove was perfect for an extended family getaway. The location was ideal in terms of access to the bike trail, Glen Arbor, shops and all that M22 has to offer. The main house and cottage were clean, well appointed and spacious enough to accommodate our larger party. The sandy beach and shallow sandy lake bottom made it easy for the kids to play in the water. Laura was a pleasure to work with from booking to check-in and throughout the stay. We'll definitely plan on returning next year!

    Without a doubt...The very best

    My family has been coming to Glen Lake since the 1920s. There is absolutely no prettier place to spend time (summer or fall) than "The Lake". Our accomadations at Sandy Cove made our 2015 summer visit even more incredible. From the spacious accomodations to the fully stocked laundry room (we go through many many towels), to the beautiful beach area with comfortable chairs just made for sunset watching, our stay could not have been more enjoyable.. We loved it so much we have already "re-upped" for 2016.. Our hosts thought of everything and made our stay a true week to remember. Looking forward to many more summers at "Sandy Cove". Thank you Laura and John and Carrie.. See ya next June.

    We had a great time on our vacation. The cottage was perfect for our large group. Being right on the lake provided lots of play time in the sand for the kiddos. Very clean and lots of room. It was was also a great location, very close to town.

    Sandy Cove is right on the sandy shores of Glen Lake with a wonderful view. It is well maintained & has plenty of room. Location is ideal being minutes from the cute town of Glen Arbor & the incredible Sleeping Bear Dunes. It's a short drive to Golf, Kayaking, Wineries, State Parks & Traverse City. Laura did a great job for us. We really had a fun time & would stay there again!

    Heaven by the lake

    We loved everything about our stay at Sandy Cove. We were there with our extended family for near-by wedding. It was the perfect property for our wide range of ages. The grown ups took the main house and the 20-somethings had the guest cottage. The kitchen was well stocked and equipped for large family breakfasts and lunches while cocktail hours were perfect on the lake. The sunroom was a great place to watch the sunrise. The sound of the waves lapping at the shore lulled us peacefully to sleep. Great spot for lovely walks, bike rides and yet a convenient distance to town. Easy location for a quick drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Our only regret is we didn't get to spend a quiet day by ourselves here with all the wedding festivities. We'll be back!

    Nice place!

    We had a great fall weekend with friends at Sandy Cove. We had nine adults and there was plenty of room for everyone with the extra cottage. In my opinion, this place is quite a bit more spacious than it looks in the photos. The sun porch is really nice and the view of Big Glen is wonderful. Our group likes to cook so we made good use of the kitchen and it had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and well-kept and the location is very convenient to downtown Glen Arbor and the national lakeshore. The property manager was really nice and great to work with. Highly recommend this place.

    Lovely Sandy Cove Cottage

    Sandy Cove Cottage is located on Big Glen Lake just minutes to wonderful Glen Arbor. The cottage has a fantastic level lot and an amazing view! Nice space in the main rooms, newer kitchen. Loved the old stone fireplace. Large master and two small secondary bedrooms. Can rent a second cottage on the property to get a 4th bedroom, we didn't and wished we had. The only negative we found is the furniture in the home is old and very uncomfortable (carpet needs updating) .....but we spent most of our time by the lake or exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes and all the other wonderful things the area offers.

    This vacation cottage far exceeded our expectations. The beach with the shallow water was great for our grandchildren. The dock was definitely a plus. Exceptionally clean with all of the comforts of home plus then some. We will return.
